The Lynn Valley Literary Society (LVLS), incorporated in 2007, is a non-profit organization devoted to the furtherance of creative writing and reading. The society works in partnership with other local arts groups to bring creative performance and participation opportunities to people in North and West Vancouver.
Young Writers' Club currently dormant
For six years, the LVLS board had the pleasure of working with more than a hundred young people who came from all over the Lower Mainland to take part in creative writing workshops each month. Last year, we had a record number of members in the club, but this year, due to a 'labour shortage' in the society, we have regretfully decided to put the YWC on ice for the time being.
We've already heard from some of our YWC alumnus, who have been busy producing books and manuscripts over the summer. We're so proud of you, and look forward to seeing your name in print one day!
